| Derren S.08-09-05, 12:14 PM | I looked through my favorites archive and found a link to the 3.5 Steel Dragon (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/mm/20040328a) . And while I am not an expert at estimating CRs even I can see that the CRs are totally incorrect. A huge dragon with caster level 21 is not CR 18. So either the one making the CR had no idea what he did or when writing the website there was a mistake ( see how very young and young have the same CR? I think at that step he used the same CR twice and this mistaked carried over to all other CRs) So, what would you think would be a correct CR and LA for this dragon? |
| Ogre4Hire08-09-05, 07:21 PM | Keep in mind that true dragons have artificially low CRs to make them more challenging than the average monster. Also, it's really hard to estimate the "correct" CR of a monster without looking at his whole stats. |
