Would anyone be able to tell me how the ethereal dragon's AC is added up? Was told that for incorporeals you figure their AC up by dexterity and charisma bonuses if they have any. I may be missing something, but by the chart I've seen, a dragon who has charisma leaking out of their scales would, by Great Wyrm, have an AC in the hundreds.

Can anyone help me out?

Ethereal dragons arent incorporeal. They live on the ethereal plane but they cannot manifest on the material plane like a ghost can.

Well shoot... this dragon I'm creating can manifest most anywhere but is uncarnate (of pure thought)... so do I really get to give it an AC of 100+?

Okay.

Incorporeal creatures don't have a natural armor score. However, most templates that turn the base creature incorporeal give them a deflection bonus equal to their Charisma modifier, but always at least +1. This is usually accompanied by an increase in Charisma. However, this is not standard issue for the incorporeal subtype. Oh, wait. Yes it is. So, you start with 10, add the Dex and Cha modifiers (the Cha modifier, in the way of such things, is a Deflection bonus, not a Charisma bonus, and is always at least +1), and stick in anything special, like a Dodge bonus.

To follow upon Trolls, ethereal dragon's AC functions just like that of other dragons (the natural armor bonus is also HD-1), and on the Material Plane they are similarly physically present.

The formula is (Score - 10)/2 rounded down.
Ex- 20: 20-10=10, 10/2=5
25: 25-10=15, 15/2=7.5 round 7
So

VY-3
y--4
J--5
YA-6
A--7
MA-8
O--9
VO-10
