I'm looking for as much information as I can get about the fey. I have already scoured the net for info and have found many of wizards' articles about the Seelie and Unseelie courts. But I was wondering which books (if any) I should try to find with more of the fluff info on this creature type. Some like Libris Mortis was for undead, or Lords of Maddness, or FC I, and II, but for the Fey. I just want the fluff info, so any edition of the game, or any campaign setting will help (FR, Planescape, 1st ed., AD&D, etc.) Thanks for the help and if you have any other info that might help send it. Thanks

TF

P.S. Did the search get taken dwn again, I can't find it now.... maybe if I had a search to find it:D

Unfortunately, there is no equivalent book for fey (Take a hint, WotC!)

Complete Guide to Fey by Goodman Games is a terrific product.
Tall Tales of the Wee Folk is a long-out-of-print product for Basic D&D, with class levels etc., for fey. It's got some useful fluff.

Your best bet is probably going to be hitting the library and checking out the fairy tales, folk tales and legends (the 398 section). "Fey" and feylike beings exist in the myths of every culture, so you'll just have to pick what you like.

The fey got shafted in 3rd Ed.

Check out this link: http://dicefreaks.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6398 .
It may hold some info you'd like, though it's not official.

My favorite 3rd party book is Faeries by Bastion Press. I believe the publisher is defunct but you may find a copy on Amazon still. Also, if you can do a dated search, you may find e-fairies which was a free supplement.

Ah, my friend, you need to spend more time on the WotC website. The Fey Feature Archive (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/arch/fey) in the Retired Articles section has 20 articles about the fey folk, with both crunch and fluff galore.

Edit: but as far as published books go, you're right. There's not much out there. I've always had good luck with Malhavoc Press (http://www.montecook.com/mpress.html), but I can't find anything specific. Even in 1st/2nd edition the information on fey was scant.

AD&D featured loads on fae. I don't recall any specific book titles (mine are in storage), however, I can tell you that it all starts and ends with Oberon and Titania.
Oberon is my homie G. He's both the most feminine and most masculine male deity ever. I suppose that's somehow impressive.

Fae weren't shafted in 3E. Nor were planes. Nor were modrons. Nor was Primus.
It took three decades for D&D to build up all that material. You can't expect WOTC to regurgitate it all in a third of the time while still trying to write new material. One day, the fae will return. Just like the modrons did (twice). The Seelie and Unseelie courts have been mentioned off and on in official products, which leaves me feeling confident that it's still in Wizards' agenda to update the fae as a whole.
