I'm drawing up an encounter some weeks ahead of time, and was just curious what EL it would be. The idea behind the encounter is that my PCs are captured, sold into slavery, and then magically experiemented on by an old wizard. He shrinks them down to Fine Size, and leaves them in moderately difficult to escape holding jar. (Nothing too hard.) After a little bit of time (no more than a tenday) the old wizard will die of old age. After escaping their shelving unit, the PCs will have a single encounter before being returned to the proper size: The 16th level wizard's small fire elemental familiar. I just want to know what the estimated CR on an encounter like this would be.
