Epsilon 09-26-05, 02:00 AM	just for something different im gonna throw an all far realm inspired campaign at my players but i have to find the monsters to do so, and i dont wanna use the template for it. if ya have a far realm monster u wanna share let it be posted for the rest of the world to see. i found a few movie and video game monsters that would be really good for this campaign setting: (anything from metroid), the creatures from alone in the dark the movie, the killer klowns from outer space, the thing(the thing), aliens and predators(alien vs predator), it(it), (anything from the movies legend, labyrinth, the dark crystal), the bugs from starship troopers, the brood from xmen. that might only make sense if you have seen the things ive talked about

Epsilon 10-05-05, 07:54 PM	im lookin for a bit more of a insanity causing experience for my players then whats in lords of madness. and i didnt like the sanity rules in CoC, but when they encounter a far realm deity i will have to give them temporarty insanity. speaking of which are there any far realm deities and does anyone know of far realm equipment that an average player could use.

Also: Mindshredders (MMIII), Odopi(MMIII), Runehounds(MMIII), Shrieking Terror(MMIII), Stonesinger(MMIII), Susurrus(MMIII), Living Spells(MMIII), Night Twist(MMIII), Half-Fiend Mind Flayers (MM), Skybleeder (Fiend Folio), Rukanyr (FF), Phiul(FF), Ocularon(FF), Maulgoth(FF), Kaorti(FF), Darkweaver(FF)... What exactly don't you like about the LoM aberrations? If it has something to do with the description, just use your own. You can make 'em look like anything you want, as long as it fits their stats. I now thank myself for stating the obvious...doh.

Buy Lords of Madness. Read up! 2. Buy Dragon issue 330. Read up on the article about Far Realm monsters etc. 3. (Optional)Buy Call of Cthulhu d20, use the sanity rules* and some of the monsters. (Including the Great C himself... :smirk: ) 4. (Optional)Go to the Monster Archives on these very boards and look for R.M.G.C.L.F. and Vorpal Tribble. Both of them have done a number of terrific Far Realm monsters. *reprinted in Unearthed Arcana
