Favorit Monsters [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-13-05, 05:44 AM I'm curious to know what everyone's favorit monsters are. List them with the book their from and comment on what makes them your favorit.

mine are:

Beholder, MM

Grell, MM2

Grey render, MM

Behir, MM

Chimera, MM

Hydra, MM

Rust Monster, MM

Bone Ooze, MM2

Corpse Gatherer, MM2

Blood Bloater Ooze, FF

Blood Golem of Hextor, FF

these are my faverite monsters, and are quite deadly when used right. If they wheren't deadly I don't belive that they would be my favorites.

Quite simply, the monster that gets that "Oh :censored: !" look on my players' faces EVERY time.

Chain Devil. MM

Another of those wierd effects that can really mess up flanking.

Changeling, MM3, Ebberon

Hmm, doppelganger w/o hd...

Fang Dragon. MC:MoF, and Draconomicon

Ability damage. Tough. Mean. Pair with Mind flayer Necromancer (with Chain Devil Summon), Changeling Thrall (spy), and Shadow. Your players will hate you forever.

06-13-05, 02:52 PM My favorite monster is now and will forever be the Minotaur. I'm also partial to Mindflayers, Desmodu, Osyluths, Kobolds, Visage, and Giants of any breed.

06-13-05, 03:06 PM My number 1 has to be the ever useful troll. Nothing like a troll with barbarian or frenzied berserker levels to scare high level characters. (Vote Troll Frenzied Berserker for '05!)
Runners up would be behirs, chokers and doppelgangers.
