Reasons: Its immune to pesky magic!, It is relentless in pounding down poor adventurers, and.. it has a breath type attack! Lets not forget its classic value, the fact that you can make one as a pet, and that it has a lifetime guarantee! Overall I'll give it an 8/10 |
| Babzidu07-28-07, 08:53 PM | Ooo, tough question. I just MM5 today. Can I do two? First off, lich. The reason: pure awesomness. Liches have great RPing opportunities, not to mention they look awesome, are incredible masterminds, and can create a variety of undead minions. 10 out of 10 Second, mind flayer. Specifically, Thoon Disciple mind flayers. Mind Flayer + Cleric of something from the Far Realm = as Xykon from Oots put it, an evilgasm. 9 out of 10 |
| Talisman07-28-07, 11:00 PM | I'm doing two if Babzidu gets to do two! #1: Dragon. A classic fantasy archetype. Wise, powerful in both magic and general butt-kicking, can be enemies or allies. The very name conjures up mythic images. My all-time favoroite fantasy creature. #2: Illithid. I'm a big Lovecraft fan, and these things are squirmy, tentacled, alien and wrong. They lurk underground, blast puny humans with their fearsome mental powers, seize mental control of your friends, and eat your brains! Plus, with the extra info in Lords of Madness (the brain is a parasite upon the body), the mind flayers are truly worthy of the title of "aberration." |
| Supercupcake07-29-07, 08:45 PM | Hmm... I like most fey, so I might as well not pick a favorite that's fey.... I like Mind Flayers too! SQUIDLY THINGY!!! <3 They suck brains too. I hope I can get MMV soon so that I can learn more about them. Succubus' are pretty cool too, the life-draining kiss is pretty helpful too! |
| ArgulFraster07-29-07, 09:40 PM | 1) Ak'Chazar Rakshasa. All that Rakshasa goodness with added Necromancer flavor! 2) Neothelids. They're just cool. |
