We're going to be playing monsters in an upcoming game. I was thinking of playing a flesh golem but don't envy the death at 0 hit points.

I know Libris Mortis has a feat to allow undead to go to negative hit points is there any for constructs/golems? Or any to allow golems to heal themselves over time like humans?

The appropriate crafting skill (leatherworking in your case) can heal a construct I believe

I'd be more concerned with a golem's utter lack of intelligence, personally. A way to remedy that is the Incarnate Construct template from Savage Species. It also gives you a CON score, which implies self-healing. Unfortunately, it also revokes most of your cool abilities. If you're keeping the construct type, though, there is a family of spells called (I think) Repair XXX Wounds. I think I remember seeing them in the Fiend Folio in a sub-bar next to the Maug entry.

The awaken construct spell (spell comdendium) can fix the Int problem

A good option is to get some Repair Light Wounds going on, perhaps in an eternal wand.
