It could be that you didn't give your question more than 4 hours. Sometimes it takes awhile to get responses, specially on weekends near Christmas. Anyways, yes, both gains feats: "An animal companion gains additional skill points and feats for bonus HD as normal for advancing a monster’s Hit Dice." "The mount gains additional skill points or feats for bonus HD as normal for advancing a monster’s Hit Dice."
guru7892 12-17-05, 05:35 PM	yes, paliden's mounts do, they increase BAB, saves,skills, and feats.(pg 45, phb 3.5) yes, animal companions do, they increase BAB, saves,skills, and feats.(pg 36, phb 3.5) umm, for a palidens mount in 3.0, it says they increase in BAB & saves but states nothing about skills and feats. Now, it is stated "Remember that extra Hit Dice improve the mount's base attack bonus and saves." so it may mean to imply skills and feats, but we really arn't sure. if it dis exclude them from skills and feats, it would be the only way to gain hit die and not gain skills and feats. no, for a 3.0 animal companion because it was spell based.
