I've seen some references running around in the Forgotten Realms campaign setting book to 'fell creatures'. What in all of Faerun is a fell creature? I haven't seen it explained anywhere, and the fellow DM I usually ask when I don't know something (because he has this rat trap of a mind of random bits of information) has no idea either.

Eh... for what it's worth, 'fell' is a kind of antiquated term which means "deadly". "Kill a man in one fell swoop" comes to mind. Maybe it's just weird-speak for dire creatures?

I've never seen the term in FR before, but it could just be descriptive. (Gimli uses it in LOTR: Two Towers the Video Game when you kill the Watcher. "Fell beast...")
