I want to get my party to meet Sperimorph from Final fantasy X.

for those of you who don't know it, it's a monster in the form of an amoebe of sorts, and it's attacks are simply elemental.
in it's turn it can either unleash an attack of it's current element, or it can change it's element.
elements in FF are water, electrity, ice and fire with water oposed to electricity, and fire opposed to ice.

I was thinking along these lines:

CR 9
HP 120
Demage reduction to normal attacks: 15
elemental attack of opposite element: 2 x damage
elemental attack of same element: damage becomes HP
other elemental attack: normal damage

fireattack: fire ball
electricity attack: lightning bolt
ice attack: ?? don't know yet
water attack: don't know either

Can you help me completing and fine tuning this monster??

thier area few water spells but mostly they do subduel. Thier may be one in compleat arcana, or compleat adventure or masters of the wild. Sorry i dont really remember.

how will the players find out if damage is done or if it is absorbed. If they have no way of knowing i would make attacks from fire form from fire only drain .5 of the attack or just be immune.

Thier are alot of ice spells in frost burn. I think thier are also a few in players handbook.

Spherimorph:

Huge Ooze [variable]
Hd ???
Move: Fly 30ft (perfect)
Space/Reach: 15 / 0

Attacks: Slam
Special attacks: Spell-like abilities, crush
Special qualities: Damage Reduction 15/-, subtype change, subtype vulnerability
Feats: Fly-by attack, power attack, improved bull rush, dodge, mobility

Spell-like abilities:
At will: Flame orb [when fire subtype]
Acid orb [when acid/water subtype]
Electric orb [when electric subtype]
Ice orb [when cold subtype]
Caster level = half hit dice
Crush: Spherimorph may drop down on an opponent from above to deal twice its normal slam damage upon the opponent. Alternatively, it may flatten itself out and fall upon every creature within a 20x20ft square, dealing normal slam damage. Opponents subject to this attack may make a reflex save DC (1/2 hit dice + con mod) to take half damge.

Subtype change (ex): as a full-round action, sperimorph may change its subtype to [fire],[acid],[electricity], or [cold]
Subtype vulnerability (ex): Spherimorph takes double damage from an attack whose elemental type opposes its subtype, if it makes its saving throw, it takes normal damage.
[fire] opposes [cold]
[acid] opposes [electricity]

There, that should be a good start to work from.

the party members may notice absorption by seeing it glowing/burning brighter. damage will be noticed by a dimmening (correct language?) glow
