| The Venerable Archmage06-30-03, 10:00 PM | The rules as written in the Fiend Folio make certain grafts off limits to those who are not of the appropriate race since it is a prerequisite for some versions of the graft item creation feat. However, I would like to tweak this rule, particularly in relation to fiendish grafts, to make it available to non-fiends. I can certainly see your average crazed demonologist would be very interested in such grafts for himself or his minions. Would dropping the racial prerequisite upset the balance? Would a new prerequisite like Knowledge (The Planes) 10 help reinstate this balance? Thanks |
| Adrez Nesnsid06-30-03, 10:15 PM | That makes sense to me. |
| Lord Splendor06-30-03, 10:28 PM | I would make the prerequisite a little more uncommon then just Knowledge (Planes). Maybe like Knowledge (anatomy) + knowledge (planes) + Heal. |

The spell would have a limited duration (say 1 day/level). It would also invovle some type of sacrifice. Or that said mortal would need the spell cast by an actual demon or the graft would come alive and hurt/maim/kill the owner. This would also make the owner indebted to said demon. The demon would then begin asking a higher and higher price to cast the spell. Fun stuff. |
