It's been difficult but at last I won: I managed to play a Maug/fighter 2/wizard 5... but...please, try to answer even 1 question...

1)How many skill points have a maug, with its 2 construct levels?
2)Have I special damage reductions not listed in its description?
3)Have I common objects' resistances, such as taking 1/4 damage from cold?
4)How can I gain the Fast Healing epic feat, since it has a Constitution score prerequisite? (I underline the fact that many constructs have fast healing)?
5)I am using those construct-healing spells taken from Tome & Blood... can I research something like Heal but only for constructs? It would be "Reparation"...
6)Can I research a construct version of "Regenerate light wounds" (Masters of the Wild)?
7)Can I then create an object which grants it permanently to its wearer?

Thanx.

1)How many skill points have a maug, with its 2 construct levels?(8 + Int modifier) × 5. Note that constructs usually get 2 + Int modifier skill points per level (provided they have an Intelligence score), but maugs receive skills as though they were outsiders.2)Have I special damage reductions not listed in its description?No.3)Have I common objects' resistances, such as taking 1/4 damage from cold?No.4)How can I gain the Fast Healing epic feat, since it has a Constitution score prerequisite? (I underline the fact that many constructs have fast healing)? You can't.5)I am using those construct-healing spells taken from Tome & Blood... can I research something like Heal but only for constructs? It would be "Reparation"...That's up to your DM. I personally wouldn't allow it.6)Can I research a construct version of "Regenerate light wounds" (Masters of the Wild)?See answer to #5.7)Can I then create an object which grants it permanently to its wearer? That's up to your DM. Note that the only existing items that grant fast healing are epic, so even if your DM does allow it, I wouldn't expect to get it any time soon.

Hope that helps!

Do you have the SavSpec? Perhaps there is an usefull spell. I will take a look at it when I am home.

Of course it helps!!! Thanx, Abominable.... however I was hoping you'd answer yes to many points.... what about a feat (epic?) like "fast repair" or so?

Do you have the SavSpec?

Yes, I own SAvage Species.... but I haven't found anything useful yet... :(

Well, that's one of the drawbacks to playing a construct, you don't heal that fast. Despite this, you are immune to sneak attacks, massive damage, death effects, criticals, and a host of other things. I think it evens out.

What about an e-spell, perhaps with the conjure spell? This could help.

Don't maugs have some kind of natural repair ability? Something like 1 HP per hour if I recall

Yesssss... but it's a bit low... especially at high levels... :(

What about an item which multiplies this rate? Something like the :D"Fantabulous ring of Repair":D? How much should it cost?

Keep in mind that constructs still count as "creatures."

As such, cure spells work just fine on them. See the Techsmith prestige class in Faiths and Pantheons for more information. They get a construct companion/familiar/cohort feature, and in the descriptive text for this feature, it is noted that constructs can be subject to a cure spell.

This is not core, of course, but if you are prepared to accept Forgotten Realms material as a guideline for rulings in your game, then it works fine.

What about this part of the spell?

"...a living creature..."

Constructs are not alive an dnot subject to cure spells. THey use wizardly "Repair" spells instead.

I made a monster a while back called the fixer scarab that repaired constructs during combat, you could show them to you DM and see if you could make some for yourself. I didnt post construction rules so you might have to work them out yourself. The thread is here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=80458&highlight=fixer+scarab)
