| Shemeska the Marauder05-19-07, 03:40 AM | Fiendish Codex II devotes about a half page to imps. It does present imps (mostly their connection and link to the baatezu) a bit differently than previous material. By comparison, 2e 'Faces of Evil: The Fiends' has a bit more than that (though it's a dual look at imps and quasits within the same sub-chapter of the book). I prefer the 2e source in terms of flavor, however they're both nice and I think that in most all instances the material is complimentary and can easily be merged. As for the remainder of FC:II, the book begins with a general look at the Baatezu as a whole with their origin mythology (heavy on the myth part mind you), their motivations, psychology, ecology, etc. Then it moves on to a few pages each for the 9 layers of Baator and their respective lords, and then some feats/spells/PrCs, and finally a chapter on new monsters and revisions of older monsters. |
