I was wondering if it was out of line for a Gargauntan Fiendish Centipede to make use of its massive size through tripping and grappling.

Game balance wise, it seems a resonable use of Summon Monster VI, but I wonder if you could actuall communicate that kind of tactics to them. They are Int 3, but they are not listed as understanding a language.

Then again, neither are Blink Dogs.

What do you all think? Unresonable?

I think if you speak Infernal or Abyssal, it should work. Otherwise I'm not sure.

keep in mind they only have int of 3.... not much higher than an animal...

no, but 3 is the minimum for a character, so, I don't think following instructions is out of line.

Especially not a command as simple as "knock him down!" and pointing at the wizard. Or "Hold him".

Remember, Intelligence 3 is Humanoid level intelligence. They're probably never going to be rocket scientists, but they would at least have the basic mental facualties and reasoning of, say, a young child.

Following orders(especially simple orders) in languages they understand shouldn't be a problem.
