Chuladoal (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/fc/20051209a)

I have a question about the templates applied.

Male Fiendish Four-Headed Gravetouched Ghoul Swarm-Shifter Pyro-Troll :
Fiendish -> Monster Manual
Gravetouched Ghoul -> Libris Mortis, I believe
Swarm Shifter -> Libris Mortis, I believe
Four-Headed Pyro -> what book ?

Why it's not a half-troll template instead the troll ?

Thanks for your future help.

The Multiheaded Creature template is in Savage Species and has pyro and cryo subsets, like the hydra it was based off. There's a lernean subset too, if I remember correctly.

The article is garbage. Creatures immune to nonlethal damage can't have regeneration; it just becomes fast healing and grants no immunities. WotC has said that many times, and the reasons are obvious as otherwise abuses abound.

Indeed, if it has more then 2 templates generally I loose interest.

But, anyways how do you get Fight Club stuff posted anyways? I think people from the Forums actually make some of the creatures?

Do they just take a monster, list its abilities and then just slap templates onto it without editing to see what the interactions of the templates are beyond pumping its stats? I mean, that's a newbie DM mistake to keep an undead troll's regeneration.

What I really want to know is why he was an outcast among trolls despite being well-respected by the other trolls.

I rushed straight to the creature's abilities once I read that is was an undead troll and that, "... his undead state has magnified his troll abilities and made him nearly invulnerable..."

I think, "Troll abilities? You mean regeneration? Uh oh."

I remember whipping up a monstrous undead for my players, and the creature had regeneration before it was transformed. Unsure if I was to leave regenerate on or not as I figured regenerate has to do with a creature's body, and most undead find theirs to be somewhat degenerated, I flipped to the back of the MM and read up on regeneration. Sure enough, no Con score, no regeneration. Very simple solution and took me all of 30 seconds to both conceive the problem at hand and solve it.

Seriously, who is editing these articles? Are they getting paid? Because I don't even do this stuff for a living and I get it right on a more regular basis. I'll write a Fight Club every week, for free! And the editing will get done for free too! Come on, give ME a Fight Club! I won't let you down, WOTC!
