The Fihyr is one of the monsters in the Monsters Manual II. It has a CR of 3. I think this is highly inaccurate, and would like to have your input on what it should be. One of these monsters wouldn't threaten a level 1 party. Consider: it has 18 HP (good), decent AC (18), but can't hurt anything (only +2 attack, and its bite only does 1d4-2 damage). Its special attack is a fear effect with DC10(!!!), has SR10 (not bad), and dies instantly in sunlight. A 'typical' level 1 fighter will be able to hit this thing almost half the time with a masterwork weapon (+1 BAB, +1 enhancement, ~+3 Str, +1 weapon focus) What do you think?
