Fire Elemental [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-19-04, 11:13 PM Does water have any effect on a fire elemental? Let's say a PC drops the pellet made by dust of dryness onto a fire elemental, would it do anything to it?

07-20-04, 03:03 AM They probably float consider they have so little weight for their size. Fire elementals can't cross water all that well, but they're not noted as being damaged by it.

Thats all it says. I think this would be a good place for a house rule or DM's call, since the books are rather vague. Water doesn't do cold damage, so I can't see the vulnerability coming into play. Maybe just some subdual damage instead of real damage??

Emersion would have to do more than just make it float. They wouldn't willingly enter it, but if one was say thrown off a boat, I can't see the thing floating...
