All,

I'm in the process of converting an old 2E module to 3.5 for an upcoming game, but I have hit a snag. The module uses a creature known as a "flind", specifically Grallix from the Marco Volo Trilogy, but I didn't see its entry in the Monster Manual.

If this creature has been updated to 3.5 in another source, like the MMII or Dungeon Magazine, could someone please inform me of the creature's basic traits, if not the whole thing (depending on OGL applicability, of course).

to get a flind take a gnoll, add a level of fighter and give it exotic weapon profeciency Nunchuku as its fighter bonus feat... flinds in 2e were just varient gnolls with an extra HD and a pinchant for using "Flind-bars" which were simply nunchuku.

Flind is found in the Tome of Horrors (by Necromancer Games).

Its 3e (since the book came out during the 3e period), but you can update it to 3.5 (or drop me an email at scottg @ necromancergames.com and I will send ya the 3.5 version that we will be using in the future).

flinds were more intelligent and slightly stronger gnolls. So I'd say up the Str and Int by 2, and then maybe increase LA by 1. Otherwise use the same stats. Oh yeah, and give them weapon familiarity 'flindbar'. Basically like a nunchuku.
