It seldom flies, except in a lurching hop. Its distinctive call puts listeners in mind of a malfunctioning digestive system. It looks like other birds after an oil slick. Nothing eats scalbies except other scalbies. Scalbies eat things that would make a vulture sick. Scalbies will eat vulture sick. Scalbies eat everything. Scalbies are about 2 feet long and have wingspans of about 4 feet. They combine both claws into a single attack. Combat: Scalbie's tend to hop or run away at any sign of agression, though they have no natural predators. Heat Endurance (Ex): A scalbie can exist comfortably in temperatures up to 120° F without having to make Fortitude saves. Scavenger (Ex): A scalbie can gain nourishment from eating nigh any organic material, despite its freshness or source. It gains a +10 bonus on Fortitude saves to resist the effect of ingested poisons, as well as on Fortitude saves to resist diseases caused by ingested substances (such as spoiled food). |
