It seems that the section on advancing dragons was a direct copy/paste from the ELH, right down to dragons getting a feat every 4HD, just like other creatures, and allowing them to take epic feats, supposedly earlier in the chapter (pg. 100 Drac).

Kind of a letdown they couldn't even edit and update it.:(

This doesn't bother me too much since it's such an easy fix. What I don't like is that they didn't include LAs for each age category.

Yes! That was a big letdown. I have a hard time seeing a big dragon campaign not going epic. And I have a hard time seeing an epic game not involving big dragons at some point.

i fail to see the error  ?

there are epic feats described earlier in the chapter (Dire charge [epic] pg 68 - as one example)

so whats the problem???

The problem is that the level adjustments stop at ECL +20. Which means that to play an Epic dragon you either have to only choose class levels or you have to extrapolate what the LA would be. And whenever you extrapolate, then you have people deciding things differently and you get a little chaos.

I'd hazard a guess at LA +1/age cateogry. Almost all the dragon LAs presented there go up approximately this way beforehand.
