| ieattrollsforbreakfast11-28-03, 05:41 PM | Wow, been looking for something like that for a long time! *Adds to favourites...* |
| Starspider12-07-03, 03:17 PM | Well, I've been looking for something like that as well, but... well, aren't the level adjustments off? Granted, I think the level adjustments are too high in Draconomicon, but they don't seem to match what's on that website. |
| Derren S.12-07-03, 03:38 PM | Those levels were made with the Savage Species, before the Draconomicon appeared. |

| WizO_Negathael12-09-03, 08:38 AM | Originally posted by Wuntvore There off according to the Savage Species book too. a +2 lvl adjustment for an age 6 dragon I think not In Savage Species (and, indeed, in the Monster Manual 3.5 and Draconomicon), each age category of the dragon was effectively treated as a seperate creature for the purposes of LA and ECL. What I have done with my progressions is taken the dragon as a whole (i.e. the Great Wyrm age category) and broken it down from there. Also, the Level Adjustment system doesn't work once you get into Epic levels. Extrapolating from the Savage Species LA figures, a Great Wyrm gold dragon would have a LA of +15, for an ECL of 56. Such a handicapped dragon simply isn't viable at these levels of play, IMHO. I have played a silver dragon PC in a group of 6th-level characters using my progressions (I've not yet uploaded that one, and won't until I have had time to do the other metallic dragons), and it worked perfectly at "LA +1". (The overall LA for my silver dragon progression is +4, with 5th, 10th, 15th and 20th level having no HD gain.) The trick with my dragon progressions over the Level Adjustments and ECLs listed in Savage Species, is to look at the progression as a whole, not as individual age categories. |
