05-27-07, 05:08 AM There is avery old chinese book which describes every building component of every building and the techniques in using those components. Basicly every building has common components such as standardized tiles, timber lengths. A temple might be a variation of the same set of components, a home might be made from the same components you find in an inn.

Basicly the Book of Arcitecture was part of a larger effort to standardize everything within the Empire.

Its been 5 years since I studied Chinese Architecture so I cant tell you the name of that book...
