Creatures of Rokugan update? [Archive] - Wizards Community

06-16-07, 02:44 PM This is just a real quick question for Creatures of Rokugan by AEG. Anybody know if they ever did a 3.5 update for them? I looked quickly and did not see one, just hoping i overlooked it. If anybody knows I would appreciate knowing where to look it up. A pre-emptive thanks all :P

06-16-07, 06:50 PM I know there is a D20 book with the monsters in it. I don't think it's 3.5 though. Maybe you can find an errata or update. Otherwise you might have to do it on your own or ask someone else if they updated it.

06-17-07, 01:59 AM Yeah I have the book and it's in 3.0. If I find an update I will post here, but I didn't find one before today when i posted this. If I cannot find one I suppose I may have to possibly do some, they have some great oriental creatures in the book. Thanks AD.

06-17-07, 03:16 AM WotC is not responsible for any Rokugan supplements to their Oriental Adventures book. You'll have to take your question up to AEG.

06-17-07, 05:57 AM I am aware of that Ranger. I never implied WOTC was responsible, just figured most of the OA players would be using these supplements. I emailed AEG tonight so pending their answer, i will post as soon as I get it, and if their is not online update, I will plan on starting to get these statted up. :P

06-17-07, 11:15 AM AEG abandoned d20 Rokugan in favor of creating another edition of their game with the Roll and Keep system that it originated with. They not only don't have an update to the revised d20 rules, they don't care. They plan to concentrate on their current edition of the game.

Lets ruin our business model by destroying any customer loyalty we have by not giving our customers adequate responses to their perfectly valid questions. Further, we're going to ban the people from our forums for little to no reason because of these questions as they show our own economic incompetence. The RPG market is so cutthroat and small that losing our once extensive fanbase will surely not harm us at all!"

Their only decent group was their D20 group that was responsible for Spycraft/Stargate/Farscape. And they broke off to make their own company.

Which is why I think it is a bad business move on WotC's part to include Rokugan in my new OA book.

If I want to play Rokugan, I'll just use L5R.

With OA, I'd rather be playing Kara-Tur.

Personally, I'm fine with using Rokugan, I just don't because I prefer to have my own world that I can generate lore from without having players in the group who love the setting getting annoyed.

06-19-07, 05:29 PM Well I suppose you all knew the answer lol. No updates for the product. I was told any update would likely be fan-done so I would say they obviously do not plan to update the material ever in the future. So, guess I'll get started lol :P

06-20-07, 03:11 PM Yeah I was thinking about that but then something weird happened. I just made a log-in like 4 days ago, and I tried to log in last night and my name has vanished. Wasn't recognized by the "forgot my password" function either so I figured i may not make another one, that kind of urked me lol. Good idea though. :P
