So, I couldn't help but notice that the Oriental Adventures board has gotten... shall we say, smaller. Why? Where did the Umteen pages go? I mean, I know I wasn't done posting on a few of them. I went to access one the other day and I got the olde "You don't have permission" thing. I thought that was a bit odd, so I came and looked on the board itself and the thread (along with almost all of the others) was gone.

I suspect they are pruning all of the low-activity boards for more storage for the 4e/gleemax thing. The furthest back this board goes now is Feb. '07

Must be a small server. Sighs. I noticed forums.gleemax.com is a lot slower than boards1.wizards.com.

Did it get transferred to the archives, do you think? That's obnoxious.

But yeah, there's only so much that the 15 or so of us regular posters can think up of and talk about before it all devolves into the same thing or we just run out of ideas. The good stuff was years ago, around the time I joined.

I don't know, that'd be sad.
Well if they are just getting rid of threads and more than likely boards, that makes me a sad panda.

Once again, the "quality" of Hasbro shines through.....

I noticed that in almost every complaints, they blame parent company Hasbro over WotC.

Makes me wish you blame my parents when I do something wrong. :evillaugh

Hrm. I wonder how much leeway Hasbro gives WoTC in matters like this - if they don't care, or of they're the driving force behind these changes and 4e.

I assume Hasbro give WotC a lot of leeway and autonomy, and only help with the business part without hindering the creative process. Otherwise the products could have been a lot worse. (Like asking a McDonald's employee to cook filet mignon).

Well, I'm sure the Hasbro executives tell the WotC group that they need to produce X amount of volume per month, and that if sales are down, they'll impress upon them to change up the product line a bit.

If all they care about is the bottom line, then yeah. But I doubt Hasbro would start micromanage R&D down to the creative process.

Besides, I never hear of Hasbro micromanaging WotC's trading card game division.

The threads should still be there. Just go down to the bottom, change the default to last month or beginning instead of last 10 days (default).

As for permissions, WotC's Gleemax sign-in mechanism requires you to sign in once every two weeks.
