| Darth Sephiroth02-23-07, 03:46 AM | Note: I figure that there ought to be a listing of OA styled campaigns would be useful here and am trying to put one togather here. I'd like help in listing them, especially ones of various people here. To add yours just make a post with a link to the setting info and a short description of the campaign. OA Settings Canta, Land of Five Dragons (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=11565918) (Darth Sephiroth) A new world based on the blood of the dragons. |
| GoriceXII03-04-07, 06:08 PM | I haven't got one, though I'm checking out yours. I have always wanted to run a game set in something like one of the kingdoms of Korea but haven't really gotten around to it. I have to admit that part of this comes from touring some historical ships of Korea which utterly fascinated me. |

| Currahee_Chris03-06-07, 04:14 PM | Ok. I will take a stab at this. Try not to laugh, boo or hiss too bad :P OK- My world is the world of Gravenhague. In this world, there are 3 elven kingdoms- Edo, Luthien and Takagawa. The elves are the practitioners of the "martial" arts that are detailed in OA and the LOT5R books. The EDO elves are based loosely on medieval Japanese fantasy. They are militaristic and guard the elven lands from the Continent of Abgrund- a wild continent just over the straight of Abgrund which is where the Shadowlands exist. The EDO elves are comprised of the Lion and Cranes. The Luthien elves produce most of the Shugenja and is rooted in Chinese myth and fantasy. They are a very artful and tranquil lot. The Takagawa elves are loosely based on Korean fantasy. They are expert watermen and their "turtleboats" are highly prized throughout the Empire. The Empire of Gravenhague exists as a collective of nations- the gnomes, free folk, humans, elves, and Southern Dwarves. The Empire is ruled by an Emperor, whose seat is located in Charlemagne. The elves, who are loyal to clan, must now think of themselves in terms of Edo's, Luthiens, or Takagawas rather than Crane's, Crabs, Lions, etc. This was a big change for a lot of elf players as most of the elves must take some measure of Law into their alignments. Exceptions exist of course, but generally that is the jist. Ronin for example, I think I allow them to take some measure of chaos. |
