| AAB07-05-07, 08:07 PM | okay, i was thinking of running an OA-style game but with all of the new splatbooks and what-have-you that have come out, but i would like to know which classes i should give iaijutsu focus as a class skill. i was basically thinking every class with 3/4 or full BAB, but there might be some classes that won't fit. i'd like to have some sort of system (like the BAB thing) to avoid having to go in and look at each class individually to decide, but that might end up being what i have to do. suggestions? |
| Ranger REG07-05-07, 08:28 PM | Swordsage from ToB. |
| narukagami07-05-07, 08:41 PM | Swordsage from ToB. Sapphire Nightmare Blade makes giving the Swordsage IF as a class skill a really dangerous proposition. Its my opinion that if you allow ToB you really don't need IF anymore, you've got the Diamond Mind maneuvers that any class could pick up with feats or multiclassing. Honestly? I wouldn't give many classes IF as a class skill. If you must possibly the more "Noble warrior" types. Besides, if your players really want to play something like a hexblade with iaijutsu training, there are feats that let you pick up cross-class skills as class skills. |

I disagree. It's not a Rokugan-specific skill. If it were, they would put that L5R notation symbol near the text. |

| Azzy07-08-07, 12:02 PM | Sorry, but the Quick Draw feat in combination with the Improved Initiative feat feel more like iajutsu/batoujutsu than this horrible kludge of a mechanic. Bleh. |
| DM Aruthiat07-08-07, 09:40 PM | heres a quick question-is IF a prescion based attack? |
