Hello,I'm a 3.0 DM and I run a group in Faerun.Since one of the 3 players can play only twice a month (while we want to play once a week,on Sunday),the other 2 players and I are thinking of running an Oriental Adventure campagin those 2 Sundays a month when we wouldn't otherwise be able to play.

I have the OA manual, but I would like to buy some adventures, even if just to have an idea on how to create an OA's adventure. How many adventures have been released up to now? What levels are they designed for?Is there anything similar to "Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil",that is to say,a long term campaign lasting for at least 10 levels?

Thanks.:)

Actually, I do believe that they haven't published any OA cmpaigns or adventures, at all. The entire book was really more of ahow-to guide for asia based campaigns; As such, they wouldn't ruin all that work by providing a setting.

I've been wrong ebfore though, so heres to hoping someone else knows more than I!

I have seen two adventures in two Dungeon magazine issues. One is ... and I hope I got the title right ... "Honor and Eta." and another just late last year.

There is no super/mega-adventure book for OA. It was supposed to be supported by AEG, but they abandoned d20 a long time ago, and return L5R to its root ruleset.

AEG?What's that?

Anyway,I've seen that OA is settled in Rokugan, which should be the setting of L5R.What about setting it into Kara-Tur?What would be the changes (if one was to follow the rules concerning the differences between Rokugan and other oriental settings) to do?

Take any adventure, rename things and people here and there, replace/modify encounters where necessary, change some flavor. Done.

Lord Gwydion advocated the idea in another recent thread. And inspired me to do an OA conversion of "Expedition to Castle Ravenloft". I'll post up the notes if I ever actually get to finishing it. Wouldn't be the first project I abandoned due to time and lost interest.

AEG?What's that? Alderac Entertainment Group. Another RPG/CCG company that makes d20 products as well as their own in-house RPGs and card games. They make the Legend of the Five Rings card game that the Legend of the Five Rings RPG and Rokugan d20 products are based on. They were pretty big for awhile but have gone severely downhill recently with their dropping of many product lines (7th Sea, Warlord, City of Heroes CCG), selling off IP rights of many games (such as Spycraft), pushing back release dates of books months at a time, and absolutely horrendous customer service and complete disregard and lack of respect for their fanbase.

Honestly? None of our concerns.

Clan feats are just samurai bonus feats.

Remove all fluff text relating to Rokugan.

There is no evidence of "Shadowlands" region in Kara-Tur (not on the mainland nor on the Nippon-cloned islands of Kozakura and Wa).

I'd like to support this idea, too.

Also, there's some old 1st edition OA modules set in Kara-Tur available for free download here (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/tsr9242.zip), here (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/tsr9257.zip) and here (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/tsr9258.zip). They may take an ounce of conversion (especially ensuring that the Encounter Levels are appropriate for the party's level), but they're pretty much good to go.

Wow,thanks for the suggestions.

I see that in Kara-Tur there's no evidence of Shadowlands, but what about creating such a regione in Kara-Tur's northern side?
Moreover,is there any material available on Kara Tur,apart from those that Azzy has just talked about?

Here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kara-Tur) is a wikipedia article that I'm surprised even exists, let alone contains all the info it does. Here (http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=1356) you can buy a PDF of the campaign setting box set.

If you search around eBay or other sites, you might find the original box set somewhere.
