| TheAnthroDM03-24-07, 01:51 PM | Or is is Samurais.. hmmm could have sworn the plural for Samurai is still Samurai Alright, just FYI I do realise that there is an official update in a certain Dragon Magezine, but at this point in time it would cause horrid inconviences to get get one.(Long Story) Anyways, do you think it would be too difficult for me to update the OA book on my own? Looking through it I see only minor changes that need to be made =/ also is it a bad idea to update the Samurai Bonus feat list with feats from other sources?(IE Two Weapon Rend and Superior Unarmed Strike to Dragon Bonus Feat List?) Is it supposed to be an intentionally narrow list? Noob Question I know but I just got OA a few days ago :thinks: |

The same applies to "ninja." | Ranger REG03-24-07, 08:34 PM | Well my question is more do you think the OA stuff is to outdated to fix without an official update? Not all. Some spells they used from PHB may be changed due to the transition. Skills are no longer exclusive to certain classes, or revised in 3.5e (e.g., They replaced Wilderness Lore with Survival, and Animal Empathy is removed in favor of a Wild Empathy class feature). Download the free 3.5e Update Booklet, somewhere in the Wizard's D&D home page. But you can still use the Kensei (Weapon Master) PrC, or the Ninja Spy with little or no tweaks. What specific stuff do you think is outdated? |

What specific stuff do you think is outdated? Wilderness Lore, Animal Empathy and Scry(having never played 3.0 I had no idea what these skills did) and the Samurai's bonus feat list mostly. The Shugenji, Void Disciple Wu Jen in CD and CA(respectively) seem to be updates of the OA version(I'm not even looking at the pages the Samurai in CW is on ever again.) Just wondering if anything stuck out as broken in 3.0 before I try updating it myself. |
| devilin_west04-17-07, 04:33 AM | "Samurai" can be used as both singular and plural nouns. The same applies to "ninja." Just as the plural of katana is katana. Even though most people will accept katanas as plural also. |
| heretic88804-17-07, 10:03 AM | There are no singular or plural forms in Japanese as there are in languages like English or Spanish. Context determines how many of a particular noun is intended. |
| Ranger REG04-18-07, 02:34 AM | Just as the plural of katana is katana. Even though most people will accept katanas as plural also. Of course, but I usually do a quick :rolleye2: behind my polite :D . Remember, Face: it's what others think of you. |
