herms 01-23-08, 05:07 PM	hi, i have asked in this forum 2 uears ago if the book the three kingdom was good and i had positive feedback so i have buy the 2 and i realy love it! im a big dynasty warrior fan and the books helped me understand alot more in the game :D. but now i have the warrior orochi game and i love the samurai warrior charecter, and since dynasty warrior is based of the three kingdoms, what books is samurai warrior based on?? now for my question more D&D related: my favorit charecter is Jiang Wei, how should i built him?? i know that for zhuge liang and sima yi, wizards should do it. but jiang wei is a great stratagist (in dynasty warrior term: wizards) and a excelent fighter. i thought maybe 4 fighter/6sword sage or crusader/ 10 suel arcanamach?? im think of a principle class that is good in close range combat and in leader ship ( something like the marchal but the marchal sucks...) and a prestige class in a more spell caster like but still have a nice close range bonus. sorry for my bad english

The SW characters are based on real people from the Sengoku era, not storybook figures. As far as I know there is no Rot3K-style book about them. However, if you do want to read a good (and LONG) epic story about samurai, I recommend the Tale of Heike. It has none of the people you're familiar with from SW, but it does have the greatest figures from earlier Japanese history in it. As for your character build... I'd recommend wizard or wu-jen combined with swordsage for some nice "gish" action. Maybe dip into that Jade Phoenix PrC in ToB, or Spell Sword.
herms 01-24-08, 11:54 AM	thanks for the book :D! and im gona check for a 5 sword sage/ 5 wu jen/ 10 jade phoenix and just so im understanding every thing: dynasty warrior is based on the 3 kingdoms novel witch is based on historecal event (so all the charecter in the book/game was real) right?? and all the charecter in samurai warrior are based on story and legend??
