| KLGChaos11-16-07, 10:07 AM | As I mentioned earlier, I'm doing some slight revamps of some classes in my OA campaign to bring them on par with the others. After finding Count Arioch's awesome version of the Sohei that I found on another site, where I decided to use the Unencumbered Movement part (and bumping the DR up to what it is in 3.5, along with giving them full caster levels, like I do with Rangers and Paladins), I decided to look at their spells list. Now, they have a few good spells, and like a Paladin, those spells are purely defensive/restorative in nature, with the exception of Castigate and maybe Divine Favor, which is more of a buff than an offensive spell. But I noticed that they have no Cure spells and I'm not quite sure why. Paladins have them, Rangers have them and heck, even the Bard, an Arcane spell class, has some healing spells. Yet for some reason, the Sohei don't (except for Vigor... a level 1 spell that grants 1 temp hit point... a.k.a. a complete waste of a first level spell slot). Does anyone think it would be unbalanced to let them cast Cure Light Wounds, Cure Moderate Wounds, Cure Serious Wounds and Cure Critical Wounds like their hybrid fighter/support caster brethren? |
