Shugenja spellcasting question, and 3.5 hengeyokai [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-03-07, 10:27 PM In the class description it implies that shugenja must use their ofuda scrolls for *all* spellcasting. However, it also mentions that ofuda are their divine focus, and there are some shugenja spells that require a divine focus and some that don't. I mean spells that are *only* on the shugenja list, so there is no way the divine focus component applies to anyone other than them.

So I'm trying to figure out if they need their scrolls for all of their spells (as the class description seems to hint at), or if they only need them when the spell has a divine focus component (which is the only way that the spell list would make any sense).

Does anyone know?

Also, what creature type have hengeyokai been changed to in the 3.5 update in Dragon 318 (I believe it is)? And is there enough important information to make it worth my while to find that issue, or is it mostly obvious update stuff if one is familar with both editions?

They are changed to Humanoid (Shapeshifter) and lose the LA
