crazy_monkey1956 12-14-07, 05:54 PM	One thing I've experimented with so that I can get the most use out of my books (I adhere to the "kitchen sink" philosophy when designing a campaign setting) is changing the flavor of something to fit the setting but leaving the mechanics intact. As an example, I've taken the Monk and stripped it of the oriental trappings completely, instead basing it on the martial arts styles of Brazil (I can't spell the name of the style). Another example, I took the Circle of Eight and made them the rulers of my version of Thay. Point being, playing with everything is achievable if you look past the prepackaged fluff and give it a new set of clothes.
