| Biomage05-31-07, 09:42 PM | I am making changes to a few PrCs that grant +1 to existing spell class level. As a replacement, I want to grant bonus feats. So, for a 10 level PrC, how many bonus feats should be used to replace the +1 to spellcasting level. My thoughts, for a class that grants a +1 to spellcasting level at every level would recieve 3 bonus feats. A class that grants +1 to spellcasting level at every other level would get 2 bonus feats. I have not used a lot of these types of PrCs, so I am looking for some insight. What are your opinions? |

Therefore, I want to allow the paladin access to certain prestige classes, such as Shining Sword of Heironeous. Since, the number of bonus feats a non-spellcasing paladin gets is 4, and there are 17 casting level, I figured that every 4 levels of spellcasting should equal about 1 feat. |

If you say a non-casting Paladin gets four bonus feats to make up for losing spellcasting remember that the paladin only gains 4 levels of spells which makes the trade effectively one spell level for one feat. If you can qualify for a +1 spellcasting PrC without spells I'd say you could just grant that feat at the time a Paladin would normally get a new spell level. I hope that makes sense. |
