Ok so i'm a scout who uses a spiked chain. Yeah weird i know. So I was wondering what a good PrC would be for a scout?

Currently I'm 9th level and the class just isnt holding up as much as I hoped it would have. I'm Thinking of just going for Rogue. But that might be a waste. Unless their is a feat that lets rogue's level and a scouts level stack for things. >.< Or maybe Swashbuckler since I have a high int and use a fun weapon. :D

Dread Commando Heros of Battle
Acrobatic thief Complete adventure
Ranger /Scout Complete Scoundrel

These are a few of the top of my head.

I second the ranger/scout if either is your favourite class. If not... hmm, Wildrunner from RotW and Singh Rager from OA have full BAB, decent class abilities, and can give you pounce for some extra power on your attacks, so I'd say you could take a look there.

Why do people answer your questions like you owned every RP book known to man?

O, the irony. :)

Then a great choice for you would be to take levels in Ranger, and take the feat in Complete Scoundrel that stacks your Ranger levels with the Scout's Skirmish ability.

OA = Oriental Adventures.

But really the only benifit ill be getting is favored enemy. Since im a two handed weapon fighter and not a ranged character. So the combat thing is out. And its not till 4th level that ill get a companion and then its still only half baked and my wisdom is low so i wont be getting a benifit from spells ( i think its a 8 or 10) So theres not much more that the class will give me. I would be better off going fighter. >.<

There is a Dragon magazine with alternate Combat Styles - one of them is based on THF.

Or you can use this variant (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/variantCharacterClasses.htm#ranger). I happen to like it.

Or you can get armor spikes, and TWF and THF at the same time. :)

IIRC there is a Ranger variant that trades in the AC for something else. Or you can take Natural Bond for a more powerful AC. Or just forget about the AC altogether, it's not a big loss.

There are spell-less Ranger variants. Or a nice Periapt of Wisdom +4 will gain you access to all Ranger spells if you have a 10 Wisdom.

You also get Track for free, other free goodies, a good Reflex & Fort save, full BAB, and 6 sp/level. And the aforementioned Favored Enemy. Take the Favored Enemy (Arcanist) variant for maximum benefit.

Hard to get into, but Elocator from the Psionics Handbook is fun with a scout.

One level of ranger and then the rest scout. It stacks for favored enemy, skirmish, AND lets you deal skirmish damage to favored enemies. Like undead.

There is a feat in complete scoundrel that lets you stack your scout and rogue levels, but only for determining your SKIRMISH damage, not sneak attack. :{ Mostly intended for rogues that dip into scout. Personally i like dervish, lets you make a full attack while moving your full speed. Unfortunatly the speed bouns and the "Slashing Blades" ability wouldnt really help you much. A few levels of exotic weapon master would help some. There are some tricks for tripping weapons and reach weapons (Lets you trip with yoru weapon, or gives +4 since you already can. The second lets you make attacks of oppourtunity and removes teh -4 to hit aginst enimes that have soft cover) Both give full BAB i belive. Also, in complete scoundrel, there is a feat called improved skirmish, or something like that. It gives you more skirmish damage / AC whenever you move 20 ft instead of 10 ft (If you move 10 ft, you still get your normal bonus)

Not really. All in all, few PrCs could give you more with less prerequisites,

- you're getting full BAB, unlike with more scout levels. Hitting more often = good. Full BAB, skirmish progression and FE is already a lot more than most PrCs can give you. 4+ ranger levels give you a bonus attack due to high BAB.
- TWF can, actually, work out with two-handed weapons. Some off-hand attacks, like armor spikes or iirc unarmed strikes - probably others - don't need a free hand. Plus, as people have said, Dragon and possibly UA have variant ranger styles. Even without it, though, you get some versatility in your combat options for free.
- you can skirmish enemies normally immune to it, like undead. That itself is worth a lot. A whole lot, given how hard rogues had it with SA to undead, oozes etc until those weapon crystals came up. If FE arcanist can allow you to skirmish arcanists despite their defensive spells, this becomes priceless.
- Companion = freebie. At the very least, it's there to help you with some skill checks, set a flanking situation, or to act as a mount. Get a permanenced speak with animals and you can really get some mileage out of it. If you don't want it, though, there are subs for that.I f your DM allows one of the decent ones - like Solitary hunter from Dragon (+ attack vs FEs, depending on ranger level), you're golden.
- spells: if you can get them, good. If you can't - OA (or RKCS, don't quote me on that) and CChamp have options to get bonus feats instead. CWar has a variant feature as well, although it is quite poor.
- you don't lose much in skills - rangers are quite close to scouts - and get 2 good saves. Fighter can't give you that, and as a scout, your skills are already one of the greater benefits you give the party. You can eventually trade the extra evasion for that spell reflection feature from CMage.

Note:
OA: Oriental Adventures
RKCS: Rokugan Campaign Settings, non-WotC product
CChamp: Complete Champion
CW/CWar: complete warrior
