Thunderchunky 07-15-07, 12:17 AM	Anybody tried it out? Is it any good? And does the unicorns blood upgrade work for ranged weapons? I mean if I put it on a bow does it confer the bonus to arrows I fire? Also what's a good starting class for this PrC? I was thinking fighter but does palladin or ranger make any significant difference if I'm going to be a predominantly combat character?

From what I can see, Paladin would be a good starting class, as the Anointed Knight abilities are keyed off Charisma bonus + Anointed Knight level. Getting the right skills is a challenge for any martial class. I think there's spellcraft and knowledge arcana requirements? I don't have the BoED with me, but from what I recall, the low level abilities are meh at best: "alertness" and "make your weapon good" come to mind. If you play a Paladin with the normal spell progression you have "Bless Weapon" by 4th level anyway. Sunder resistance sounds nice on the surface, but I'm not sure if getting an adamantiwhatever weapon provides more resistance to being sundered or not.
Thunderchunky 07-17-07, 03:59 PM	The main thing that caught my eye about the class was +1 to wis, int, and cha for the low low price of 100g. As for prereq's, you'll have to be ECL 5 anyways for the BAB part, and if you max knowledge(arcana) and spellcraft you'll have 3 ranks at lvl 5 anyway. That's the only one that would be a cc for a paladin IIRC. As for sunder resistance, I'm split between taking it or having an adamantine weapon too.. Then again an extra 10 hardness on top of adamantine will pretty much ensure your weapon's never broken. Aurorum looked like a nice combo too. Even if someone does manage to break your weapon you can just put the pieces back together... plus damage resistance 3/- is definitely worth it And who wouldn't take an intelligent item for the once again low low price of 100g.
