| WebJiCi03-01-08, 08:26 PM | Here's the deal: I do not want an assassin with spells and a spell list. What do you suggest me to take to replace that feature ? Thanks in advance, JiCi |
| The_Shaman03-01-08, 08:30 PM | You could give yourself feats, but I'd just look for another PrC anyway. Long Death Monk and Dark Hunter give you death attack without spellcasting... although TBH I'd probably swallow it and go for Teflammar Shadowlord anyway. |

I used this instead of getting poison in the campaign im in cuz the DM is wierd so he let me take this instead. Im thinking mainly feat effects from book of roguish luck, complete adventurer, and complete scoundrel. You could give him the ambush feat for free at level 2 to buff his sneak attack damage since he has no magic now. Alternately you could give him the deadly precision feat from expanded psionics handbook, to represent his dedication to more physical means of killing people. |
| The_Shaman03-09-08, 05:00 PM | You could give him a bonus feat every level he'd get a new spell level - heck, every 2nd feat, I suppose. Just make a list of the allowed bonus feats - maybe ambush feats, a few fighter feats, and a few others. As for darkvision, it does not negate your hiding, only blindsense, blindsight and so on do (besides, there are no shadows in total darkness, as far as I know). To get around those, simply add Darkstalker from Lords of Madness to the bonus feat list. |
| daemionn03-09-08, 05:11 PM | If you are using darkness as your "cover" so you can hide, your cover is negated by darkvision as they can see through it. Otherwise they wouldnt have made the feat in Book of roguish luck that lets you negate that effect. Doesnt darkvision also negate hiding in shadowy illumination aswell? or jsut pure darkness? |
| The_Shaman03-09-08, 07:35 PM | Hmm, you have that part - darkness causes concealment iirc, which allowes hiding. However, I'm now quite sure how it works when you can use both normal and darkvision. I would suppose you can pretty much always use darkvision to your average range, but it's possible that normal light gives it some shadows of its own. |
