Viridiancadence 10-16-07, 12:50 PM	I am planning on alternating beast heart adept (dungeonscape) with cavalier (complete warrior) after my sixth level of knight, gaining a pegasus as my companion/pet horsie/mount. However, the cavalier progression in complete warrior mentions a paladin's mount gaining abilities as if the character had gained levels in paladin. My question- would it be balanced/acceptable to add paladin mount abilities to my pegasus companion as I progress in cavalier? There's a feat in complete adventurer, devout tracker, which mentions paladin and ranger levels stacking for determining the companion/mount's stats, should I have to take a similar feat in order to do this? Taking a level in paladin isn't feasible gameplaywise as I'm currently LN Also, suggestions for the name of the pegasus are welcome. :)
korcheck 10-18-07, 04:42 PM	Ebberon Campaign setting has a similar feat for a monk/pally these feats are only need if you wish to retain pally class features and still change out to another class so no you wouldn't need this feat. in essence what that class feature does is provide you with an ability similar to the pally unless your also a pally in which case it stacks. Because you are going into the class without being a pally first you would use the ability as if you just recieved it i.e. as a 4th lvl pally not whatever lavel you are.
