Class features in detail
Song of enragement: The berserker of the song knows how to get people furious. For example, he could remind them of how terrible their lives are through poetics or song. Song of enragement is a new bardic music effect which requires 9 ranks in Perform. It allows the berserker of the song to cause anyone within 30 ft. who can hear it to go into a mitigated version of rage for a number of rounds equal to the berserker of the song's bard level plus his berserker of the song level. It applies to allies as well as enemies. The rage incurs the rage penalties as a 1st level barbarian (including the fatigue) but the bonuses are halved. However, any listener who already has the rage or frenzy class feature (such as a barbarian or frenzied berserker) goes into the rage suited for him.
Song of enrichment: If the berserker of the song has at least 9 ranks in Perform, he could sing to himself an inspiring song. The next rage he goes into within the next number of minutes equal to his bard levels multiplies the bonuses to abilities (strength and constitution) and will save by 1.5. The bonuses to his strength and constitution are morale bonuses. However, he does not receive any other benefit of rage.
Berserker music: A berserker of the song stacks his berserker levels with his bard level for the purpose of determining the effects of bardic songs and rages like songs (see below), but not for determining which bardic music or song-like rages are available to him. Other classes that stack for this purpose, such as war chanter, use their levels to stack with berserker of the song levels as well.
Perform out of rage: At 2nd level, the berserker of the song's equal love of performance and rage begin to manifest itself. He could now use his performance to calm himself down. He may use the Perform skill while raging. If he does so for money, he loses 1 gp of that week's salary for each performance during a rage. This penalty goes away at 4th level, when his rage like a song rubs off an effect on other rages. If he performs out of rage like a song, he increases his weekly salary by 1 gp for each performance out of rage like a song.
Extend Rage: At 2nd level, the berserker of the song receives Extend Rage as a bonus feat.
Rage: The berserker of the song can rage an extra time per day at 3rd level and every 3 levels thereafter (6th and 9th).
Bardic music: The berserker of the song can use bardic music an extra time per day at 3rd level and every 3 levels thereafter (6th and 9th).
Rage like a song: A berserker of the song of 4th level and higher can rage in such an inspiring way that it has an effect on people. With the same prerequisite ranks in Perform, the same effects, and the same duration, the berserker of the song can go into a rage like a 1st level barbarian, and at the beginning of that rage, the effect of either inspire courage bardic music ability or the fascinate bardic music ability (the choice of the berserker of the song) begins. The duration of the music effect is not necessarily the duration of the rage. The rage could last for 10 rounds while the Bardic music effect ends beforehand or afterwards. He may perform out of a rage like a song (see above).
A berserker of the song can rage like a song once per day at 4th level, twice per day at 7th level, and three times per day at 10th level.
Song of improved rage: At 5th level and higher, allies respond differently than non-allies to the song of enragement. From this point on, the penalties are also halved for allies.
"Beat him up": At 5th level and higher, the minimum required ranks in Perform for the various Bardic music effects are halved (round down). However, a berserker of the song must still be at the minimum character level to have those ranks in perform. For example, if a bardic music ability required 15 ranks in perform, then you would only need 7 ranks. However, you still need to be at least 12th level.
Improved rage like a song: At 6th level and higher, the rage like a song uses the berserker of the song's ordinary rage with the additional effect, instead of the rage of a 1st level barbarian with the additional effect.
Intimidating rage: At 7th level and higher, a berserker of the song takes 10 on an Intimidate check (even if he is distracted or threatened) during a rage. He may not rage like a song for this purpose.
Control rage: At 7th level and higher, a berserker of the song begins to learn how to control his rage and let it out even stronger later. If he ends a rage early, he may store his remaining rounds in a rage round reserve. The total number of rounds stored from a single rage cannot exceed the berserker of the song's class level, but rounds can be stored from more than one round.
In any given rage later in the day, the berserker of the song can add to his rage a number of rounds he chooses from the reserve. The reserve goes down by that much. No rage can exceed double the amount of rounds it normally would have (8 + Con mod, feats as applied).
The reserve goes down to zero every 24 hours and after every 4-or-more-hour sleep or 2-or-more-hour elven trance.
Rounds cannot be saved from rages like songs. However, they can be added to rages like songs, but every two rounds from the reserve can add only one round to a rage like a song. However, if there is only 1 round left in the reserve, that may be added to a rage like a song.
Song of many rages: At 8th level and higher, the berserker of the song's song of enragement affects those with different attitudes differently. To helpful characters, only the benefits of the rage apply. To friendly characters, the benefits and penalties apply (but numerical penalties are halved). To indifferent characters, the benefits and penalties apply. To unfriendly characters, the penalties apply, but the benefits are halved. To hostile characters, only the penalties apply.
Tireless rage like a song: At 9th level and higher, a berserker of the song no longer is fatigued after a rage like a song.
"Kill the announcer": At 10th level, bardic music songs and rages like songs no longer have minimum Perform ranks as requirements. However, a berserker of the song must still be at the minimum character level to have those ranks in perform. For example, if a bardic music ability required 15 ranks in perform, then you would only need 7 ranks. However, you still need to be at least 12th level.
