They cost the same to make, take the same time to cast, have the same effects... are there really any differences other than you don't have to carry anything? I feel like I HAVE to be missing something, a PrC feature that is exactly the same as a feat you get for free as an arcane casting class just seems... silly. |

| Silversheen19711-02-07, 01:45 PM | Actually, you do, which makes it seem completely useless, doesn't it... |
| imakuni6711-02-07, 01:55 PM | It does? I haven't looked at it in awhile. Well, it does give you that not carrying a million items option. Say you are captured and stripped of all your widgets, maybe you can drink that blood potion of bull's strength and muscle your way through the prison bars! Honestly though, I see the class being slightly more sorcerer in flavor than wizard so you wouldn't have as many item creation feats anyway. |
| vorpo11-02-07, 01:57 PM | Arcane caster? Only wizards get free Inscribe Scroll feat. Even then, I'd opt for other bonus if allowed. Brew Potion? Show me a base arcanist that gets this for free. What's wrong with gaining 2 feats for free even tho you probably have better choices if you can choose what feats to take. |
| imakuni6711-02-07, 02:11 PM | I don't know why there should be a complaint for free feats either. I was just comparing the abilities to the actual feats. |
