Do you think the PrC is worth it? 5 levels gives unlimited detect thoughts, thought tricks, and a nice change shape ability. 2. What's the best way to enter the class? I thought about doing a factotum for the incredible amount of skills and abilities they get. Would be very helpful for a 'spy' type to be able to emulate pretty much any class. |

It's potentially also interesting to mix it with Mindspy, although the high level effectiveness is a bit questionable - it's hard to get your DC's to something that's still respectable at high level, iirc. Factotum is rather lackluster, however... I'd probably just go with Rogue, if I remember the prerequisites correctly, or something similar - maybe Psychic Rogue or Lurk? I can't really look it up at the moment, I'm afraid. On a side note, it might be interesting to have a xxxx/Cabinet Trickster/Chameleon build - that'd be an excellent character for imitating folks, methinks, as he would have access to just about all the basic abilities. |

Well rogue might work, I wanted factotum because it gives you the ability to essentially mimic anyone. It gives all skills as class skills, as well. You can turn undead, cast spells, etc. If I took Cabinet Trickster and then Chameleon or Mindspy they would enhance the mimic ability even further. Also, is there a consolidated list of medium or small humanoid creatures with (Ex) attacks? Cabinet Trickster's level 5 change shape ability lets you take on the extrodinary special attacks of the assumed form. |
