NoldorForce 04-11-07, 04:10 PM	No. Illithid Savant requires the character's race to be "Mind Flayer", and being half-illithid is not specific enough. Ulitharids can qualify as a result of being referred to as "Mind Flayer, Ulitharid" in the appropriate monster entry. If Illithid Savant had instead required "Illithid" as the character's race, that would likely be acceptable.
Khatoblepas 04-11-07, 04:11 PM	A half-illithid cannot qualify for Illithid Savant. Unlike Illithid Body-Tamer, the race restriction is quite narrow for the Savant. Race: Mind Flayer. A half-illithid is not a mind flayer, but it is an illithid. For the purposes of race restrictions, a half-illithid and a mind flayer are illithids, but not all illithids are mind flayers.
