Career advice... or have I made a Clerical error [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-03-07, 11:17 PM I need a little advice on where to go from here with my Clerics progression.
I'm currently playing a Human 6th level Cleric/1st level Auspician (FR PrC from Faiths and Pantheons) of Tymora (FR Goddess of Luck) with the Luck, Travel, & Fate (bonus from Auspician) domains.
My (unmodified) stats are:

Str: 13
Dex: 15
Con: 12
Int: 16
Wis: 18
Cha: 16
(I've always had good luck when rolling stats)

My feats are:
Dodge, Great Fortitude, Iron Will, & Lightning Relexes

The basic concept is that he is a happy-go-lucky kind of guy who relies more on his wits and skills to get him out of trouble more than his brawn (there is a Barbarian and a Fighter/Psion in the party for front line duty).
Being that there are so few "Luck" based PrC's out there (someone suggested Fortune's Friend to me, but I beleive that it's a 2/5 spell progression class, which, to me, is unacceptable) I was thinking about a 4-level dip into Divine Disciple to pick up another domain (Protection, possibly) and then to continue with Auspician again.

Any advice? Any WotC published book is fair game.

03-04-07, 11:25 AM There are a lot of new Luck feats in Complete Scoundrel. Those might be worth checking out.

03-05-07, 03:34 PM There is the Fate Spinner PrC from complete Arcane. It has to do with improving your own luck by stealing luck from your enemies or something to that affect. It is geared towards arcane casters but I'm sure it could easily be adapted by changing the prereqs to Diety: Tymora or Beeshaba, Knowledge (religion 10 ranks), Profession (gambler) 5 ranks, and Special: Must have access to 4th level divine spells and the Luck domain and then obviously switch the increase in arcane caster for an increase in divine casting.

03-05-07, 04:58 PM I think the Auspician already is the Fatespinner for divinists... In general, Cleric 6/Ausp10/DD4 is a very solid build, yeah. You will have a bit weaker BAB than a full cleric, but, for crying out loud, 4 domains... Not to mention the things a Auspician can do with their BAB.
