| Puca07-12-07, 01:55 PM | You need to clean it up. Are the PrCs in BoVD and BoED PrCs? Is that the question? If you can "take levels" in it, it is either a base class, or a PrC. (At least as far as I know.) |
| Kouk07-12-07, 06:10 PM | I don't have the BoED, but there are several Prestige Classes in the Book of Vile Darkness, yes. Same for Book of Exalted Deeds, from what I recall. They have some stringent requirements usually, but the "gods" are dependent on your campaign setting, and substitutes can be found by working with your DM. Usually the ones in the books are the Greyhawk deities, though the extraplanar demideities tend to exist in all campaign settings (like Orcus, though he isn't technically a god yet). |

Clerics have only 1 class feature that scales - outside of spellcasting, of course - and that is their Turn Undead, which not everyone uses. Anyway, the classes in BoED/BoVD are all prestige classes, at least I do not remember seeing a 20-level class there. The acid test: if it has 20 levels, and no prerequisites, it is a base class. If it has prerequisites and is shorter, it is a prestige class. There is another thing, called racial paragon class, but this is usually very short and specifically named. |
