| Slad Chaos05-08-07, 03:47 PM | hello, are there a feat, or a class, template that give telekinesis as spell, surnatural ability ? If yes, can you indicate me, please ? Is it possible to use several weapons in the same time, in the same round with telekinesis ? For the BAB with a weapon used by telekinesis, is it the level character or the level of the PrC ? Are there a mean to improve the Hit Dice for this PrC ? Thanks for your future answer. |
| ZocckCastlestorm05-08-07, 05:07 PM | The best Class to give you Telekinesis would be Psion(Kineticist). As to using several objects/weapons at the same time/in the same round...I do not know. I do not have my books handy, and I rarely go seriously into TK effects, as I prefer Telepathy instead. As to the question of BAB; BAB is always used at the total BAB unless stated otherwise(like a monks Flurry, or Rapid Shot; each uses highest BAB -2 for example). Improve the Hit Dice? What exactly do you mean? Get Hit Dice of the next die-type up? |

For the BAB, I asked in the description of the PrC because I'm not sure what spellcaster level used for the weapons manipulated by telekinesis. Improved Hit Dice :d4 -> d8 |
| BrutishCelt05-09-07, 05:43 PM | Unless you can convince your DM that altering the PrC HD from d4 to d8, then no, you can't increase the die value of the HD of any class, prestige or otherwise. I wouldn't be in favor of making the adjustment, personally. The ability to slice and dice your enemies from a distance is a powerful ability, and since the PrC focuses on staying out of melee, then more hit points is not in the spirit of the class. From readng the PrC and the telekinesis spell entry, I would also say, no, you can't wield multiple weapons. Having said that, however, a lenient DM may allow you to be considered to have multiple telekinetic "limbs," and therefore be eligible to use feats such as Improved Two-Weapon Fighting or even Multiattack. I would personally limit you to one extra "limb" per level of the PrC, giving you a grand total of 6 telekinetic "arms" at 5th level. Normal penalties for fighting with multiple weapons would apply, of course. So, at the height of skill in this Prc, you might get 6 weapon attacks, you're not that likely to connect with all of them. As for the BAB, I would say that whatever class you apply the Improved Caster Level ability to is the class used to determine your telekinetic BAB. The primary casting ability of that class is also the ability score used to modify the attacks. Oh, and since psionics is not magic, nor is it a supernatural or spell-like ability, psions are not eligible for the PrC. A DM using the magic/psionic transparency option may consider the telekinesis power to be a viable entry requirement for the PrC. I would certainly allow it in my campaign. Hope that helps. |

If, yes, which feats, please ? Well, there is an obvious class ability that gives telekinesis: Be a Wizard of 9th level or higher, Wu Jen of 9th level or higher, or Sorcerer of 10th level or higher... Other than that, there is a ghost template around the place that offers telekinesis as a spell-like ability. As for feats that do as you have asked for: Extraordinary Concentration from Complete Adventurer Chain Spell from Complete Arcane Innate Spell from Player's Handbook (requires epic levels) In addition to that, I'll give you some freebies: Sonorous Hum from Spell Compendium. Ring of Telekinesis from DMG Custom Staff Crafting is also in the DMG, and probably a good idea if you are using a wizard/sorcerer/wu jen |
| Slad Chaos05-22-07, 10:45 AM | In the description of the spell telekinesis, there are "Target or Targets: See text." So the spell can affect several targets in the same time, no ? Violent Thrust: Alternatively, the spell energy can be spent in a single round. You can hurl one object or creature per caster level (maximum 15) that are within range and all within 10 feet of each other toward any target within 10 feet per level of all the objects. With "Improved violent thrust", the character can throw 15 daggers maximum but on the same target. So with "full attack telekinesis", can the character use other melee weapon ? What is the penalty to use several weapons in the same round for the BAB ? Are there a PrC that permit to upgrade a spell, permitting to affect several targets instead of one ? |
