vagabonvoid 03-31-07, 06:14 PM	I just got the TOB. The first thing that popped out at me was the Deepstone Sentinel. I like the class but I just wanted to check on something. It says that one of the prerequisites is "balance 13 ranks" yet on the NPC (Karthak) they build him as FTR10/DS3, and he has a balance of 10 (total)... There is no way a ftr 10 can have balance 13 ranks (cross-classed). Did they just mess up on the prerequisites or did whoever wrote up the NPC just not pay attention to the rules? Could someone tell me an answer?
Khatoblepas 03-31-07, 06:24 PM	WotC mess up on example NPCs ALL the time. All the time. So ignore them if you want to play by the rules, most of the time. I haven't seen many example NPCs who are correctly built, really..
vagabonvoid 04-01-07, 12:51 PM	Actually, i just found out how the NPC is right, Martial Study (stone dragon) granted balance as a class skill, and that's where every single point the NPC got went to... So 13 ranks must be correct...
