Friend of mine is playing a ranger, and wants to become a Deepwood Sniper. As I looked over the abilities, I came to wonder about sumething

Deepwood sniper gets increased critical threat WITH HER ARROWS as a special ability. I was wondering if its still possible to increase the critical range further with the "Improved Critical" feat? The feat says it doesn't stack with any other critical range increases on WEAPONS. Is the arrows in this case counted as weapons, or does the increases actually stack?

Thanks for any comments

i don't see why not.
RAW i guess leaves it open for you, though others would debate this.

This might have worked, but for all intents and purposes in 3.5 bow=arrow=bow=arrow. Best modifiers apply.

The same situation would apply if you were using a magic 'keen' bow and magic 'keen' arrows. You'd be wasting the benefit of one or the other.

In 3.5 crit range increases no longer stack. They used to in 3.0.

Also (as already said) bows and arrows are essentially the same thing as far as magical enhancements go.

Oh, and it's "something"

Crit range increases do not stack any longer.
