Deepwood Sniper revision? [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-12-07, 04:25 PM This has probably been beaten to death, but since there is no search function, I figure I'd ask anyway. I know there is no official revision, I looked at the prestige class listings already.

Has anyone done up a revised version of the Deepwood Sniper on these forums or elsewhere?

I may go with the 3.0 version anyway, it's not so over-powering that I can't deal with it since the person didn't min/max the class terribly. But I'd like to take a look at some 3.5 variations if they are out there.

03-12-07, 11:09 PM AFAIC, the 3.0e Deepwood Sniper is usable for 3.5e. The only error is found on the class table: delete keen edge at 5th class level (always remember, texts trumps tables).

Also replace Wilderness Lore and Intuit Direction with Survival.

03-13-07, 01:29 PM I think that if it has not been redone it is okay to play the PRC as is, just update the skills, etc.

I made a 3.5 rework a while back, that removed some of the super crits. I'll have to see if I can dig up the link to it... I think it may have gotten pruned. Otherwise, if you're interested, you can PM me with your email address, and I can email you the PrC in a Word document.

I just decided to repost the class here (http://boards1.wizards.com/showthread.php?p=11818085#post11818085). The old thread was pruned, and it's a good excuse to get rid of all the clutter, and start fresh with a new post. Hope you like it. Feel free to critique it as you see fit! :D

03-19-07, 12:30 PM Well, imo some people freak out at the possibility of a x5 critical. Mind you, it's not as if Scythe + power attack + shock trooper/leap attack for a Weapon Master is any better :rolleyes: , and I haven't see those receive withering criticism.
