Diamond Warrior-Good to play? [Archive] - Wizards Community

Is a balanced prestige class? If not, do you know of any good psionic monk classes out there?

06-02-07, 09:13 AM That is a really neat idea. I like that Crystal Mask thing. So, to ME it looks fine. The +1 psionic level (like casters, wtv) is good. The abilities aren't that groundbreaking. You get some free feats, free masks, free TELEPORT. That would seem unbalanced but i think it's high enough level that you can just take it for what it is.

A monk with psionics, yup.

That thing you linked is 3.0. Notice 0th level powers, Psionic Attack/Defence modes, etc...?

06-02-07, 09:21 AM I know, but I prefer Diamond Warrior because the Crystal Masks are really cool. Anyway, I could easily convert it to 3.5e. Thanks for the quick feedback!

06-02-07, 09:29 AM Why does it seem awfully weak? I think it is pretty balanced. You get awesome crystal mask abilities, Uncanny Dodge at level eight, and good power progession.

06-02-07, 09:32 AM Well, if you start with Monk, you get redundant abilites (though one could say they stack, as with the Master Thrower...), and it doesn't have an "Oomph!".
Some more Psi-Like Abilities and special abilities are in order, I think...

06-02-07, 09:42 AM Would it suddenly become less flavourful if it were more powerful?
I'd ask around in the Psionics board to find out what powers would fit...

06-03-07, 03:29 AM I'm pretty sure the diamond warrior got updated to 3.5 along with the rest of the Mind's eye classes right when 3.5 was coming out, you know when they closed down Mind's eye for a bit.
