Complete Divine states that you can enter the Divine Oracle prestige class as an arcane spellcaster. Without Cleric levels, how are you gonna use that Oracle Domain?

CDivine has a section that details how non-clerics use domains, I think it was in the beginning of the spells section. Arcanists iirc had the option to learn domain spells as their spells known, and that was it.

In addition to having the option of learning Domain Spell (subject to severe restrictions) you do gain the Domain's special ability which helps all the divinations you cast.

In the case of fixed domains I prefer the 3.0 method of adding domains. Then they went directly into your spells known which is a huge bonus for sorcerers. In 3.5 there are too many other ways for an arcanist to pick up a domain without having any divine casting to channel it into which could break that old system.
